The police command in Ebonyi State has confirmed that gunmen have killed a traditional ruler, Igboke of Umuezeokaha in Ezza North LGA.
Spokesman of the police in the state, SP Onome Onovwakpayeya, on Tuesday, said, “We are aware of the killing and investigation has commenced to fish out the perpetrators of such heinous crime.”
Meanwhile, Gov Dave Umahi has directed security agents to spare no resources in unmasking the killers of the monarch.
Umahi gave the order at a news briefing in his office at the Government House, Centenary City, Abakaliki, on Tuesday. (NAN)
