Gunmen on Thursday night killed a man identified as Tavershima Dega in Zaki-Biam town of Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.
Our correspondent reports the killing of Dega, also referred to as Degata, happened barely three days after a former chairman of Zaki-Biam Yam Market, Tavershima Achinge, was shot dead at his residence.
Witnesses said the late Dega was shot dead at 8:00pm when he went to a pharmacy to purchase drugs for his ill wife.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the state command, DSP Catherine Anene, said she could not immediately confirm the killing of Dega because she was yet to receive any briefing on the matter.
