Gunmen have killed the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Atakumosa East Central Local Government Area of Osun State, Chief Gbenga Ogbara.
The politician was shot dead in his residence at Igangan, his hometown.

The police spokesman in the state, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident, saying the command had deployed more policemen to the town to beef up security and restore order.
Opalola further said police detectives had commenced investigation on the killing and assured that the perpetrators would be brought to book.
