Gunmen have killed a 22-year-old herder, Jabiru Halilu, in K/Vom village of Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Secretary of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), in Riyom LGA of the state, who confirmed the incidence on Saturday, said the deceased was killed while rearing cows around K/Vom general area on Friday.

He said the deceased was shot on the head and that the body was recovered together with policemen from K/Vom Divisional Police.
Efforts to get reaction of the Plateau State Police Command on the incident proved abortive as its spokesperson, DSP Ubah Gabriel, didn’t respond to calls and the SMS put across to him.
