Hon Sunday Idenyi, former coordinator of Ngbo East Development Center in Ohankwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, has been gunned down.
He was appointed coordinator of the centre in 2015 and served until 2019.

Daily Trust gathered that the late Idenyi was killed on Monday night at his country home in Amoffia Ngbo.
He was said to have been shot seven times by the gang which stormed his residence with sophisticated weapons.
The deceased lost his younger brother in a similar manner last year.
Before his death, Idenyi was listed among the candidates to succeed the traditional ruler of Amoffia Ngbo community.
The Ebonyi Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Loveth Odah was not reachable as of the time of filing this report, but the Security Consultant to the State government, Mr Emeagha Okoro, told our correspondent that only the police could speak on the matter.
“Just exercise patience by calling back the state police public relations officer, because she is the one that is supposed to confirm it,” he said.
