Gunmen kill 7 in Gombe LG

Gunmen in about nine hilux vans and motorcycles attacked Nafada Local Government Area of Gombe State killing about seven people.

The gunmen burnt some cars and asked the villagers not to come out and vote.

Witnesses said the gunmen left the area after the attack. When contacted, the state police spokesman, DSP Fwaje Atajiri, said he was in a meeting and would get back to journalists. 

Meanwhile, voters accreditation is ongoing in parts of the state.

Unarmed policemen were seen at all polling units.
