Gunmen on Thursday night killed five people in K/Vom village of Vwang District in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau state.
Daily Trust reports that the incident occurred at about 10:30pm when the gunmen stormed a relaxation spots and shot sporadically.

Plateau state Commissioner of Police, Edward Egbuka, confirmed the incident to newsmen at the scene of the incident, describing it as unfortunate.
The commissioner said, “Last night, some yet to be identify gunmen attacked a drinking joint in K/Vom community and shots five persons, we are here and the situation is under control.
“This is a sad moment and time for my peaceful constituents; our people are not happy because we have being having these incidences over and over and we are asking ourselves when will it stop, ” he added.
The District Head of Vwang, Da Gyang Balak condemned the killings which he described as barbaric.
He called on the community to remain calm and never to take law into their hands.
