No fewer than four people were killed in another attack on Thursday night in Pukah and Pinper communities of Mangu LGA of Plateau State.
Spokesperson of Operation Safe Haven, a multi-security taskforce maintaining peace in the state, Captain Oya James, who confirmed the incident, said troops were on top of the situation.
He said, “The timely intervention of the troops to the area really prevented the number of casualties. Troops are on ground to restore law and other. Based on the information from the troops, four people died and one was injured.”
But sources from the affected communities told journalists that seven people were killed, including a woman, adding that the gunmen stole sheep and other domestic animals in Pinper.
