Gunmen kill 4, displace 500 in Kaduna community

Gunmen have invaded Gurguzu village, close to Maguzawa, a suburb of Rigasa in Igabi local government area of Kaduna State, killing four persons and injuring about six others.
Our correspondent gathered that about 500 people who were displaced are currently at a primary school in Rigasa.
The incident happened around 6:00pm on Monday, when the gunmen stormed a farm in the village with motorcycles and shot people on the farm land.
Four people died immediately while four others who were injured and were rushed to the hospital have remained in hospital.
Briefing newsmen yesterday, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ahmed Tijjani Abdullahi, said that immediately the police heard of the attack, personnel were deployed and calm had returned.
Speaking on the situation, Chairman of the Interim Management Committee of Igabi Local Government Area, Jabir Khamis, said government was taking care of the 500 displaced people.
