Gunmen Wednesday killed three police officers attached to Oshiri Police Division in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
Daily Trust learnt that the incident happened around 8am yesterday.
This came barely 40 hours after an inspector attached to the Ebonyi State Police Headquarters, Abakiliki was killed on Monday.
The deceased inspector was shot by the hoodlums while on stop and search operation at his duty post near the popular Union Bank roundabout in the state capital.

Two of his colleagues were also wounded in the attack by the hoodlums who operated with a tricycle.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, SP Onome Onovwakpoyrya, who confirmed the separate attacks, said that the tactical team of the command killed two of the hoodlums who killed the three officers in Oshiri.
Onovwakpoyrya noted that a Lexus car ES350 Model, a pack of hard drugs, one fabricated AK 47 rifle, one AK 47 magazine with 7 rounds of ammunition, and one SMG rifle, among other items, were recovered from them.
The PPRO urged the public to report any suspicious move or anyone with bullet wounds to a nearby security station.
