Gunmen kill 3 cops, 2 vigilante members

Unknown gunmen killed three policemen and two members of the vigilante group at Bujum Kasuwan in Lau LGA of Taraba State yesterday.
Daily Trust gathered that the police men and vigilante members were investigating a matter when the gunmen attacked the security team led by the Divisional Crime Officer, ASP Kilobas Iliya. The area has been experiencing communal conflicts in recent time. After the killing, the gunmen took away a police AK-47 rifle and a pistol.
The police spokesman, ASP David Misal, said the police commissioner, David Akinremi, had ordered immediate investigation of the incident.
