One person has been feared killed, while two others were injured as hoodlums attacked traders at Ofeapo along Idrisu-Bagana Road in Omala Local Government Area of Kogi State.
An eyewitness reported that the traders were ambushed while returning home from Bagana Market at about 8.30pm on Thursday.

The traders were said to be travelling in a tricycle popularly called Keke NAPEP when the gunmen opened fire on them at close range, killing one on the spot, and injuring others.
The police Command spokesperson, SP. William Aya, who confirmed the incident, said the injured traders were taken to a medical facility in Abejukolo, the headquarters of Omala LGC.
He stated further that the Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Egbuka, has mobilised a tactical squad and officers of the Division to the scene of the incident to fish out the perpetrators for prosecution.
Meanwhile, the paramount ruler of Omala Local Government Area Traditional council, HRH Boniface Musa, Ojogba of Ife, has condemned the dastardly act.
He decried the incessant attacks on the Bagana people by unknown gunmen, lamenting that the killing has taken the peace process being initiated by Atta Igala, HRM Alaji Mathew Opaluwa Akpa and other stakeholders aback.
