Gunmen on Friday night killed one person, abducted another and shot a third person in the leg in an attack in Rigasa, a suburb of Igabi local government area of Kaduna state.
Daily Trust gathered that the incident occurred along the new road which connects Kaduna airport and Rigasa train station.
Residents of Rigasa told our correspondent that they heard gunshots in the night as security agents battled the gunmen but said the incident had led to the death of one Auwal Rabiu and another resident.
Haruna Ibrahim of Rigasa told our correspondent that the incident occurred around 9 pm adding that the gunmen had attacked and damaged a Police patrol vehicle station around the area.
He said: “the vehicle belonged to Rigasa Police station, the gunmen raided it with bullets, smashing the glass and bursting the tyres before the Military chased after the bandits.”
Kaduna State Police Command was yet to confirm the incident.
