Suspected gunmen on Tuesday stormed Gamji village in Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State and kidnapped two children of former commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Dankande Gamji
Father of the victims, Alhaji Dankande Gamji, who spoke to Daily Trust, said the gunmen also shot dead one person, while civil defence (NSCDC) personnel stationed to guard his residence, and one other person from the neighborhood was also kidnapped.
The spokesman for the state police command, SP Muhammad Shehu has confirmed the incident to Daily Trust.
