Gunmen kidnap Ogun mother, police begin manhunt

Suspected gunmen have reportedly kidnapped a middle-aged woman, Tanwa Omoseyin, at Ijebu Imushin, Ogun State.

It was gathered that Omoseyin was kidnapped around Federal Science Technical College, Ijebu Imusin, on Sunday.

Sources said the victim and her daughter were on a motorcycle when she was abducted at about 6.15pm.

Police spokesman in the state, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident on Monday in Abeokuta, saying the suspected kidnappers drove in a black Toyota Corolla with no registration number.

Odutola said operatives of the command have launched a rescue operation.

“Tanwa Omoseyin was abducted around Federal Science and Technical College Ijebu Imusin.

“The victim and daughter on a bike were blocked by a black unregistered Toyota Corolla. Hoodlums forced the woman into their car and drove off. Investigation is on,” she said.
