Gunmen kidnap DPO

Gunmen have abducted the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Pankshin LGA of Plateau State.   

Our correspondent gathered that the DPO, SP Lareee, was kidnapped on Thursday, at WOKTORI Hotel in Pankshin town.

A source said the victim recently resumed as DPO of the area, adding that he was kidnapped a day after he reported to the division.  

Reacting in a telephone chat, the state’s police spokesman, DSP Alfred Alabo, said, “I won’t be able to talk at the moment because I am in a meeting.”
