Gunmen have invaded Tambuwal Motor Park in Tambuwal Local Government Area of Sokoto State, abducting a spare parts trader.
The incident occurred around 8pm on Saturday.
Tambuwal is the country home of the immediate past Governor of the state now Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
Daily Trust learnt that the gunmen shot in the air, thereby making residents of the community scamper for safety.

They attacked an automobile spare parts shop and abducted the owner, Mr Paul Ndibusi Okula.
They also injured one other person who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
A reliable source told our reporter that the gunmen’s mission was to kidnap the father of the trader who was not around at the time of their attack.
“They then went away with his son, Paul,” the source said.
The Public Relations Officer, Sokoto State Police Command, ASP Ahmed Rufa’i, while confirming the attack, said police were on the trail of the gunmen.
“You know Tambuwal is a transit town between Sokoto and Kebbi State. We have informed police in the neighbouring communities in Kebbi State as the search continues,” he said.
