Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted eight passengers along the Emohua-Kalabari road in Rivers State.
It was learnt that the incident happened on Saturday.

Community sources said the yet-to-be identified gunmen attacked the Sienna car the passengers were travelling in and took them to an unknown destination.
An eyewitness, who did not disclose his name, said the gunmen started shooting at the vehicle from Port Harcourt before grounding it at Kalabari area of the state and took the passengers away.
“The incident happened on Saturday. The passengers were travelling along the Kalabari-Emohua route when the gunmen opened fire on them. The vehicle was hijacked and the eight passengers were taken away,” the source said.
The Rivers State Police Command said it had launched an investigation into the matter.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Grace Iringe Koko, said the command would do everything within its powers to rescue the victims.
