Hoodlums suspected to be kidnappers have abducted two brothers in Ogori in Ogori/Magogo LGA of Kogi State, killing their senior brother, Taiye Edason, in the process.
City & Crime gathered that the incident happened on Monday along the Ogori-Ososo road while Edason and his brothers were on their way to Igarra in Edo State to visit their mother.
According to Akpata Bayo, a close friend of the family, the hoodlums intercepted their motorcycle and whisked the victim and his brother into the bush.
He said, “They took them to the bush and tied them to a tree. Their abductors later freed them to go. As they were running away, the kidnappers opened fire on them. In the process, the bullets hit Edason; he fell down and died.

Bayo added that two suspects had been arrested in connection with the incident.
The spokesperson of the state’s police command, SP William Aya, did not reply to enquiries sent to him on the incident.
