Gunmen invade Abuja community, abduct shopkeeper, steal foodstuff

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a 48-year-old shopkeeper, Chinedu Arinze, and carted away foodstuff from his shop in Adagba community of Yaba ward in Abaji Area Council of the FCT.

A resident of Adagba, James Gwatana, said the incident happened on Monday around 8pm when Muslims were observing prayers.

He said the gunmen who came in their large numbers wielding weapons, invaded the Arinze’s provision shop and whisked him away after taking assorted foodstuff amid sporadic shooting.
