Gunmen have raided Daki-Biyu community, located in Jabi District of Abuja, injuring residents and seizing motorcycles in the process.
The armed men, said to be about fifteen in number, attacked a group of commercial motorcyclists who used to pass their night around the community’s chief’s palace.

A resident, Lawal Daura, said the gunmen who invaded the area at about 2am, forced the motorcyclists to hand over their keys and mobile phones, before they forced them to lay down and tied them.
Chairman of the commercial motorcyclists in the area, Bala Muhammad, said the gunmen selected six new motorcycles out of about 20 there, and also robbed them of their money before they fled.
He said two people were injured. The community chief’s palace is opposite a police outpost there.
Effort to get the FCT Police Command’s spokesperson, DSP Josephine Adeh, for comment was not successful.
