He said, “They came on their motorcycles and started shooting sporadically. They entered some houses and in the process someone tried to runaway together with his wife.

“They later caught and tied him and forced him to either show them the residence of Abdullahi Carlos or they kill him.

“After he showed them the house, they freed him and proceeded to the business mogul’s house.

“They then abducted him (Abdullahi Carlos) and went away with him. He is a very renowned businessman in the area, everyone knows him,” he added.

Muhammad however, said the suspected kidnappers have not contacted his family for possible negotiation.

Effort to hear from the Kano state Police Command has proved abortive as the Police Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa has neither answered the calls made to him nor replied to the text message sent to him.

The Kano State Police command on Tuesday, also confirmed the arrest of the suspected killers of a German construction worker some times in 2018.

The suspects were also said to responsible for the renting of dangerous weapons to criminals in Rimin Gado Local Government area.
