Gunmen attacked the residence of Chief of Fadan Ayu in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State around 11:30pm on Saturday and took away his youngest son, Sahabi Halidu Ibrahim, Daily Trust has gathered.

The Ayu Traditional Council Secretary, Jibril Adamu Muhammed, who confirmed the incident to our reporter, said from all indications, the attackers were after the traditional ruler because they went straight to his room and started shooting.

“They fired many gunshots on his door but God protected him. Having found it difficult to reach the chief they took away his youngest son, Sahabi.”
