City & Crime gathered yesterday that it was raining when the attackers arrived at the quarry and started shooting the security men.
He said the gunmen attempted to abduct one of the policemen after killing his colleague but that they later abandoned him with gunshot wounds.
A source told City & Crime that initially the firm employed the services of vigilantes when it started operation about six months back, but replaced them with policemen following an attack that left some of the vigilantes injured.
Contacted, the FCT Police Command’s spokesperson, DSP Josephine Adeh, neither picked her calls nor replied to an SMS on the development.
