Gunmen have abducted Alhaji Isah Ozi Salami, an elder statesman and member of the board of the Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPPADEC), and killed one other person in Kogi State.
City & Crime gathered that the elder statesman was kidnapped in the early hours of Thursday while on his way to observe morning prayers in a mosque at Ogaminana in Adavi Local Government Area.
The state’s police command’s spokesman, William Aya, confirmed both the abduction and the killing.
However, SP Aya assured that the Commissioner of Police, Edward Egbuka, had drafted security men to the area for rescue operation.
