Gunmen have abducted a nursing mother identified as Rebecca and five others at a village called Jigi under Udawa town in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The incident happened around 9: p.m. Tuesday night according to a family source.

Daily Trust gathered that the gunmen stormed the small settlement about 6 kilometers from Udawa town and picked six people, 3 females and 3 males.
One of the residents of the village whose relation was among the victims, Iro Kurebe said the gunmen came shooting sporadically.
“They went house-to-house picking their victims.
“My relation, a nursing mother, Rebecca that just gave birth four days ago was among the people abducted.
“Most of our people started running when they heard the gunshots.
“These bandits have been terrorising our community for a very long time,” he said.
He said the bandits have not contacted the family 48 hours after the abduction.
The police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige didn’t answer his calls and didn’t also acknowledge a text message sent to him at the time of filing this report.
Chikun shared a border with Birnin Gwari Local Government Area where bandits’ activities led to property destruction and loss of lives in the surrounding communities.
