Emeka Nwachukwu, an Igbo businessman, has been abducted by bandits from his home at Kosubosu, headquarters of Baruten LGA of Kwara State.
City & Crime gathered that the gunmen stormed his residence beside the INEC office around 8:30 pm on Wednesday, shooting sporadically before he was whisked away to an unknown destination.
A source said the victim, who is also a teacher, sells medication in the community.
Nwachukwu, among the prominent businessmen in Kosubosu, has been living in the community for over 20 years.

The source further told City & Crime that the gunmen had contacted his brother and demanded for N100m ransom.
When contacted, the spokeswoman of the state police command, Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, a DSP, confirmed the incident.
According to her, “efforts are on to rescue him. The DPO in the area, vigilantes and hunters have been in the bush since yesterday. I will update you on the situation later.”
