Gunmen abduct former NMA Secretary’s son, demand N20m ransom

Ademola, son of a former National Secretary of the Nigeria Medical Association, Dr Adewunmi Alayaki, has been abducted by gunmen in Ogun State.

Our correspondent gathered that Adedamola’s abductors have demanded N20million ransom to free the victim.

It was gathered that he was kidnapped on his father’s farm at Isaga-Orile community, Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident to newsmen on Thursday morning in Abeokuta.

According to him, Adedamola is the Manager of one of his father’s farms.

The PPRO told our correspondent that the police were on the trail of the abductors.

“We are on top of the situation. Our men are on the trail of the gunmen,” he said.
