A former member of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abdulmumuni Ningi, has been abducted.
He was abducted Thursday evening in Bauchi metropolis.

The police public relations officer, Bauchi State command, DSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, who confirmed the abduction in a telephone interview said, “He was trailed by abductors who were armed with guns and said to be four in a gold-coloured car. They followed him to his house around the BSADP area.”
“They have not called yet, but our men are working to get to the root of the situation,’’ he said.
The victim represented Ningi state constituency in the 8th Assembly.
