It was gathered that the abductors stormed the farm at noon, shot sporadically and took the Chinese nationals to an unknown destination.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the state command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the development on Thursday, saying Police operatives were working to locate the abductees and rescue them.
“We are on it, we are working to locate and rescue the victims,” he said.
Abimbola explained that the abductors accessed the farm in the Oba community through Odo Ogun (River Ogun) and escaped with the captives through the same water.
The Police spokesman said a security team had begun combing the forest in search of the victims.
Governor Dapo Abiodun confirmed the development at the inauguration of the Amotekun corps on Thursday in Abeokuta.
He said: “There has been a spate of incidents of kidnapping in the State in the last one week or so with Nigerians and Chinese nationals as victims.
“Through combined efforts of our security agencies working with locals, some of the victims have been rescued whilst some are still being held by the kidnappers.
“I want to assure you all that no effort will be spared to rescue safely the remaining victims.
“In the same vein, a number of initiatives are being put together to stem this ugly tide of kidnapping and indeed all other forms of criminality in the State.”
