Gunmen have abducted 16 wedding guests, including four children, at Gwombe community in Gwargwada Chiefdom of Kuje Area Council of the FCT.
A resident, Shuaibu Dantani, said the victims, who were mostly women, were abducted on their way from a wedding in Abaji Area Council on Saturday evening.
He said the gunmen flagged down the vehicle conveying the victims and whisked them away, and that, “A man riding a motorcycle on his way to Rubochi who nearly ran into the kidnappers returned to the village and raised alarm.”
Dantani said family members of the victims were yet to establish contact with the kidnappers.

The Agabe of Gwargwada, Alhaji Hussain Agabi Mam, who confirmed the incident through telephone to our reporter on Sunday, also said they were yet to establish communication with the kidnappers.
The spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, DSP Adeh Josephine, was yet to confirm the incident to our reporter at the time of filing this report.
