Six people have been abducted by gunmen along between Obbo-Ile/Osi road, in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State while returning from a trip.
The victims were said to be travelling in a Toyota Hiace bus (Hummer) with the registration number: Abuja KUJ 613 AA when the incident occurred around 11:15 pm on Monday.

It was gathered that the combined team of the state vigilante, soldiers and police have been deployed to rescue the victims.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Kwara Command, Ajayi Okasanmi (SP), confirmed the development.
Okasanmi who gave the number of the perpetrators as five armed men said the victims’ vehicle, loaded with foodstuffs was found abandoned and an empty shell of 7.62mm ammunition recovered inside it.
According to him, four of the victims have been rescued. The freed victims were abandoned after an engagement with the rescue team and they are with the police.
He said the remaining two abductees believed to be in the bushes would soon be rescued and the perpetrators arrested.
Okasanmi said, “The Commissioner of Police, Kwara, Tuesday Assayomo has assured the families of the yet-to-be-released victims, that no stone would be left unturned in rescuing them from the custody of the kidnappers.”
He further advised commuters to avoid night journeys, especially on isolated roads.
