“The money they are asking for is too much; if I give you that money, you cannot run away with it. Nobody can run.
“So, why not give them the money, they release the boys and then we pursue them and get our money back and do what is necessary; it is simple logic, ” he had said.
“So, bring the money from the Central Bank. How can they move that money? We should not be stupid.
“These people are getting infiltrated; Boko Haram is getting close and they don’t respect the clergy.”
#Gumi rose among to the number one trend on Twitter as this story was being developed.
Gumi’s comments did not go down well with aggrieved Nigerians who have taken to Twitter to air their views.
No matter how he disguises it, this Gumi is a kidnap apologist. Otherwise, what’s “Bandits don’t live a luxury life; they live in huts; they have nothing; they drink from the stream”?
The innocent people being kidnapped, do they all live in mansions? Do they have everything?

Sheikh Gumi knows where bandits are. But the Nigerian Army doesn’t.
Sheikh Gumi knows where bandits live and that they live in huts. But the Nigerian Army doesn’t know this.
Sheikh Gumi knows the bandits drink from streams. But Nigerian Army doesn’t know.
Isn’t God wonderful?

I spent about 10 minutes listening to Sheikh Gumi on AIT yesterday. I was just shaking my head endlessly.
Herdsmen and bandits can kidnap and kill because the government hasn’t spent N1 on them?
Jesus please help me control my tongue and my temper.

Sheikh Gumi is acting like an accomplice of killer herdsmen and bandits.
How can he ask CBN to pay their ₦100 million ransom demand. Gumi, who should be in jail for inciting herdsmen and bandits against Christian soldiers, is now a darling of the @MBuhari regime!#TableShaker

If our security agencies are serious people, if they have the fear of Jesus or Allah or whatever they believe in, an invitation and sit-down with Sheik Gumi will reveal the identity of these bandits and we end this nonsense mess.
But are they serious enough? I can’t sleep.

Is it that Gumi is a computer program designed to whine us every now and then or we are in a matrix where Gumi’s program’s mission is to embed this messed up code so that we sympathise with Terrorists?🥴 Is DSS a children’s game? Is the government ludo?Naija cn make someone mad!

Sheikh Gumi seems to have all the real time Intel about the terrorists and their plans but I wonder why DSS/ government that claims to be fighting terrorism can’t use such information to clamp down on d terrorists. But critics are approached like the real terrorists. Issoraite.
