Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, has cried out to the federal government and other developmental agencies for urgent intervention on the gully erosion threatening the Umuagu, Nnobi road, along the Nnobi-Ideani-Nkpor federal road.
Soludo made the call during on the spot assessment visit to the location.
He promised that his government would begin immediate remedial measures.

According to him, the road which is very strategic, has been completely cut into half by deep gully erosion, making it almost impossible for motorists to ply it
He described Anambra as the erosion capital of the world because there are hundreds of erosion sites scattered across the state.
He also urged residents to embark on preventive measures against the ravaging erosion in the state
