Vice President Kashim Shettima; Senate President, Godswill Akpabio; and governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), have arrived in Benin City, Edo State capital, to participate in the grand finale of the party’s governorship campaign rally ahead of the September 21 election.
They were received at the airport by Governor Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) upon their arrival on Saturday.
Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, APC National Chairman, was also present.
The final rally is a strategic move to solidify the party’s presence in the state amid rising political tensions as campaigns for the governorship race intensify.
