A guard and a driver, Galadima Adamu and Abubakar Lawal, respectively, have been arrested in Lagos State while trying to sell their employer’s Toyota Highlander.

The state’s Commissioner of Police (CP), Adegoke Fayoade, explained that a car dealer (name withheld) was approached by the suspects on the grounds that they had a vehicle to sell and that they agreed to sell the Highlander to the dealer for N3m.

He further said, “While negotiating the price, the dealer called the number on the vehicle’s documents for confirmation. At the end the dealer discovered that the vehicle had been declared missing some days back. This led to the discovery that the sellers are the guard and driver of the owner of the vehicle.
