Government Secondary School, Kubwa, yesterday emerged winner of a quiz competition organised for senior secondary schools in the FCT by Rotary Club of Abuja Garki Neighborhood.
The school scored 13 points to beat 10 others selected for the competition.

The School for the Gifted in Gwagwalada came second with 12 points and GSS Nyanya came third.
City & Crime reports that the club gave the overall winner N100,000, second winner, N75,000 and the third N50,000.
Each of the two students that represented the three best schools was also given a year’s scholarship by the club.
Speaking after the competition, the President of the Rotary Club of Abuja Garki Neighborhood, Rotary Zainab O. Owonikoko, said the competition was organised to encourage and boost education in the communities.
She said if members of communities are properly educated, there would be peace, unity and enlightenment.
She assured that the club would continue to embark on projects that would have a direct impact on the residents, especially the less privileged.
There were consolation prizes for other schools that participated in the competition.
