The Civil Society Action Coalition on Education For All (CSACEFA), in partnership with El-Meela Heritage Support Foundation (ELMHST), has reaffirmed its commitment to the rights of the African child to education.

Speaking at the commemoration of the Day of the African Child (DAC) 2021, the President of ELMHST, Barr Jamilah Isah, noted that the day established by the African Union (AU) over 30 years ago gave all Africans a time to rethink on issues relating to the African child.

Barr Isah explained that the theme for the day this year: “30 Years After Adoption of Charter: Accelerate Implementation of Agenda 2040 for an Africa Fit for Children”, was a call to stakeholders, government at all levels and partners to rise above the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, insecurity, inflation and a number of challenges to renew their commitment to Agenda 2040.

Also speaking, Consul to Nigeria, Africa and Scandinavia for Brain Wealth Projects, Clerk Brandon, stated that ensuring functional education which met the overall objectives of creating the structure for economic progress was their main drive, and that without that the struggle to rise from poverty to wealth was impossible.

He further said their project’s commitment in Nigeria was to strengthen the quality and functionality of education through Public-Private Partnership (PPP).
