A statement issued by chairman of the forum, Muhammad Bulama, yesterday, said the lawmaker has the needed experience to steer the affairs of the House.
“Lady Khadija’s sojourn at the National Assembly has seen her take part in the most convivial of ways, concise debates in policy formulation and articulate presentation of bills at the floor of the House,” it said.
The statement added that her pedigree as “espoused leaves us in no doubt to that sterling quality that puts you in the mould of such greats as Nancy Pelosi, Hilary Clinton.”
It expressed optimism that if elected, the House, under Khadija, would cleanse what it termed “the rot and corruption” ravaging the nation, adding: “Nigeria deserves to bask in the majestic glow which your experience would provide.”
“At the threshold of the last American Congress, Nancy Pelosi stood out as an emblem of power and womanhood, so can you. At a period when witticism, brains and innovation with a slight touch of class hold sway, where brawn, graft and incompetence are being thrown out the window, there isn’t a better time for us to give support to the lady of the moment.”
