The Katsina State chapter of the APC Network for Sustainable Change (APC-NSC) has called on senators and House of Representatives members from the state to distance themselves from the anti-Buhari stance at the National Assembly.
The group faulted the legislators’ alleged “lack of bravery, benevolence and intelligence” in support of President Buhari’s policies and vowed to champion the recall of any lawmaker that showed no concern for Buhari.
The chairman of the network, Alhaji Yazid Ibrahim, said they had been watching the National Assembly members with keen interest. “But we are not satisfied with their unwholesome attitudes on national issues and defence of President Buhari.”
He said the President was being haunted from various fronts, including the National Assembly and particularly the Senate, hence the need for those that meant well for Nigeria to rise up to the challenge.
“To the bewilderment of every Nigerian, the National Assembly has never been supportive of President Buhari’s change agenda, especially the fight against corruption. We, therefore, call on all our state branches and the FCT to, as a matter of urgency, send this warning to their respective representatives and await further directives on how to initiate recall in the event the National Assembly members turn deaf ears to this clarion call,” he said.
