Al-Habibiyya Foundation has trained 40 undergraduates on digital skills in Sokoto State. 

The youths were drawn from higher institutions of learning across the state. 

Declaring the training open yesterday, its founder, Imam Adeyemi Fu’ad, said the participants would be trained on how to use their smartphones to get ‘halal’ money. 

According to him, they have so far trained 240 youth from six states, including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja with the support of MacArthur Foundation. 

“We have trained 40 youths in each of these states,” he said 

Imam Fu’ad added that the foundation was training Imams and other religious leaders on how to be self-reliant because this was the only way they could tell our leader’s the truth in their respective sermons. 

The Imam of Al-Habibiyya mosque in Sokoto, Imam Zakariyya Ridwan and the state coordinator of the foundation, Mustapha Ahmah Muhammad, thanked the founder for organising the training in Sokoto. 

They, advised the participants to make use of the training to develop themselves and their communities.
