National Coordinator of the Movement, Uzor George Tiga, at a press briefing yesterday in Abuja, said it was erroneous for any one or group to ask the President not to run as he was constitutionally entitled to run. He said   it remains a solely personal decision of the President  not to seek re-election.
He said  the decision on whether President Jonathan will contest the 2015 election or not rests on Nigerians who have the ultimate say on the issue.
“We earnestly do not want to be dragged into political party politics or anything that has to do with politics in the selection processes. We are actually getting 20 million signatures from Nigerians who are ready to sign a compact with the President to conclude the work he has started.
“So ‘You Win’ to us is the president’s philosophy about social empowerment for the masses. We are however saying that it must be sustained. Nigerians are saying that it should not be cut short because of some kind of parochial interests, party considerations or sentiments because the time for sentiments is over,” he said.
