The Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN) Abuja chapter has rewarded three women in Tungan Maje in Zuba, Federal Capital Territory with 120, 100 and 160 litres of water reserved buckets in commemoration of the World Water Day.
The Chairman, APWEN, Engr. Dare Bello, who made this known said that shortage of water supply affects the growth of children mostly.

The association also sensitised the women in the community on water use, water value and water management in order to reduce the effect of water shortage in their environment.
The three awardees were among 10 women that participated in the competition of water management where they were asked to wash their dirty clothes, pots and plates using the little they had.
