A Pro-Osinbajo group called Progressive Youth Group (PYG) has ratified a unity list of its national executives.
The list was ratified at its extraordinary meeting, which took place at the TPP Secretariat, Wuse 2, Abuja on Tuesday.
The list was developed by first zoning of the leadership positions to various Nigerian geopolitical zones in the meeting that preceded this and nomination of competent members from these geopolitical zones to fill these vacant positions in this meeting before ratification.
Those who made the list and confirmed as national executives of PYG Osinbajo 2023 are:
1. Hon. Babangida Malabu from Gombe State is the National Coordinator
2. Dr. Obinna Ebirim from Imo State is the National Secretary
3. Hon. Olamide Subair from Lagos State is the National Organizing Secretary
4. Miss Simbiat Odali from Delta State is the National Publicity Secretary
5. Miss Blessing Ada Christopher from Benue State is the National Treasurer
6. Maryam Ilyasu Gwarzo from Kano State is the National Woman/Lady Leader
7. Barr Nurudeen Baba Ahmed from Adamawa State is the National Legal Adviser
8. Hon. Muhammad Gambo from Borno State is the Deputy National Coordinator (North)
9. Miss Jennifer Raymond from Imo State is the Deputy National Coordinator (South)
10. Hon. Akeem Amao from Kwara State is the Deputy National Coordinator (Diaspora)
11. Comrade John Mikel Ogbonna from Ebonyi State is the Assistant Organizing Secretary
12. Arch. Rotimi Adediran from Kogi State is the Assistant National Publicity Secretary
13. Mr. Asikpo Offiong from Cross Rivers State is the Assistant National Treasurer
14. Mr Oyebola Adetoro from United Kingdon Chapter is the Assistant National Secretary
15. Mr. Idris Salifu from Edo State is the Chief Whip.
The group under the interim leadership of its convener, Mr Idris Jubril, conducted a #YORun (Yemi Osinbajo Run) campaign engaged various stakeholders to woo them to support the presidential aspiration of Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, and participated actively in the two citizen-led declarations for Prof. Yemi Osinbajo that took place in Kano and Akwa Ibom States.
The meeting was witnessed by one of the Special Assistants of the Vice President, Alhaji Murtala Aliyu, who thanked and encouraged members to continue giving their best as he is very optimistic of victory of his boss and attainment of the desires of those present in the meeting partnering with the Vice President on his aspiration. The meeting was attended in-person by 30 members and virtually by 19 persons who are mainly professionals.
