A group, Coalition for Popular Participation and Credible Election in Kogi State (CoPPCEK) yesterday said it has concluded arrangements to organize a debate for all the 22 candidates contesting the November 21 governorship election in the state.
The coordinator of CoPPCEK, Rev. Father Leonard Odomeja, who disclosed this in Lokoja said the debate will hold on Sunday, November 8.
Odomeja said that the aim of the debate was to make the electorate have better knowledge and understanding of the candidates and their manifestos.
He listed the Justice Development and Peace Commission of the Catholic dioceses of Lokoja and Idah, the state chapters of Council of Ulamah, Christian Association of Nigeria and the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) as members of the coalition.
