Group partners FG to instill pan-African culture among youths

A pan-African group, Africa Vision 525 Initiative, says it is partnering with the federal government to boost use of science and technology among youths and also instill African culture in their day-to-day activities.

The event organised by the group presented a simulation of the African Union Assembly as part of events to celebrate Nigeria at 64 and had the theme “Invention or Youth in AI environment.”

The Chief Trainer for African Vision 525 Initiative, Okello Oculi, stated that, “The initiative trains secondary schools in the federal capital territory as part of ways of preparing them for future and leadership positions and maintain the tradition of training future African leaders.”

Also speaking, Dr Ayodele Bakare, Head of Digital Technology at the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), stated that huge opportunities lie ahead for youths as the  4th industrial revolution has given birth to emerging technologies.

He added that, “NITDA has invested alot in providing capacity development and research brands to ensure youths acquire knowledge that will aid them in their future career.

“The agency has also set up an SUV for the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotica to ensure research on blockchain and AI. we have 2.9terabyte of storage for young Nigerians who want to undertake research in AI.”
