However, the Voice of Niger Delta for Equity and Justice in a statement jointly signed by its Director General, Chief Dr Williams Onohwakpor and Chairperson, Dr. Mrs. Success Ebierebo Motajo in Abuja, on Friday viewed the appointment as incontrovertible proof of President Tinubu as a listening leader who is committed to the development of Niger Delta.

The group hailed the President Bola Tinubu administration for showing a bold will to fix the wrongs in critical areas of the Niger Delta. Noting that the removal of Maj. Gen. Barry Ndiomu (retd.) was long overdue.

“We, the entire members of Voice of Niger Delta for Equity and Justice, wish to applaud the benevolence of the President Bola Tinubu for the appointment of Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro as the new Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).

“This appointment is a round peg in a round hole.”

“The Niger Delta as a whole reposes abiding faith in Brutu’s ability to keep the trust and live up to the expectations of Mr President and our regionregion,” the statement added.
