The Ebira National Development Association (ENDA) has donated 15 motorcycles to the security agents in order to boost security operations and protect lives and property in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
ENDA’s Welfare, Finance and Implementation Committee Officer, Mohammed Garba Isimbabi, said 10 of the motorcycles were for the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) and the other five for the military super camp at Kanyehu village.
Isimbabi said the gesture was meant to curtail the insecurity challenges in the area.
He said, “This gesture is to express our appreciation for their gallant effort in dislodging dreaded the Darus-salam and bandits who are terrorising the local government area. ENDA will continue to partner with security agents in the area to secure a crime-free Toto.”
Isimbabi also said the association was constructing the Kenyehu-Uttu Road linking Kparekye in Koton Karfe LGA in Kogi State as part of effort to boost the security of the area.
He explained that, “This is part of our contribution to community development and it is to show support to the governor’s administration.”
In his remarks, the paramount ruler of Toto, the Ohimege Opanda, Alhaji Usman Abdullahi, applauded ENDA, especially for grading the Kenyehu-Uttu Road and other positive gestures.
He appealed to His Excellency, Gov. A. A. Sule, to consider the road as a major project as it was the shortest link between Nasarawa and Kogi states.
