Group conducts medical outreach at Kano custodial centre

Anon-governmental organisation, Dr. James King Foundation has carried out  medical outreach in the Kano Central Custodial Centre, Kurmawa.

Founder of the foundation, Dr. James King, said the foundation had a mandate of providing succour to the less privileged through the provision of medical services.

He stated that the target of the medical outreach in the custodial centre was to attend to between 500 to 600 inmates.

Welcoming the medical team to the facility, the controller of the centre, Suleiman T. Suleiman, who was represented by the officer-in-charge of the centre, ACC Muazu Tukur, thanked the foundation for the kind gesture.

Apart from conducting tests and medical investigation on the beneficiaries, the foundation also donated drugs and provisions to the inmates.
