A women group known as Ultimate Business Women and Farmers Association of Nigeria has condemned the inhuman treatment meted to an Aguleri woman in Anambra East LGA of Anambra State by a mob.
Some people had, on Saturday, beaten and stripped a woman naked alleging that she killed her husband with many rounds of sex.

The incident happened in the community of the outgoing governor of the state, Chief Willie Obiano.
In a statement signed by the national president of the group, Mrs Nkiru Nwagbo, and made available to Daily Trust on Monday, the women group said the woman’s sin was childlessness.
“Her sin is that she is childless. They falsely alleged that she killed her husband and the community decided to bring her to public ridicule and dehumanization without recourse to her rights.
“This body wishes to state that we insist that the law must take its course and that the perpetrators must be brought to book,” the group stated.
The group also called on the Federation of Women Lawyers to take up this matter and rise up to defend and protect the rights of their fellow woman.
The group expresses its appreciation to the Anambra State Police Command for the arrest made so far and urged it not to relent in its efforts in bringing the culprits to justice.
